Christos Giovanopoulos is a founding member of the Hub for Social Economy, Empowerment and Innovation and of Solidarity for All, the platform of the grassroots solidarity initiatives in Greece. He is chief editor of the radical left publishing house A/Synechia (Dis/continuity) and his books include ‘Democracy Under Construction: from the streets to the squares’ (2011) and ‘Loaded Cameras: Cinema and 1968’ (2008). He was key member of the Syntagma sq. People’s Assembly and its communication team during the occupation of Syntagma square. He holds an MA in Film and Cultural studies and he has taught Media and Critical Theory in the University of Westminster, London.
